May 6, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.

The Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Cape Breton Partnership, Scotia Rail Development Society, Port of Sydney, J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport, and Cape Breton University on May 6th hosted an event at the Port of Sydney for an evening of discussing how transportation costs impact the cost of living, job creation, well-being of residents, and overall economic growth in Unama’ki – Cape Breton.

This session explores the impact of transportation costs on goods and services; how diversifying our transportation systems can help lower these costs, benefitting both local and broader markets; and how better transportation can support manufacturing. By working together, these sectors can create more jobs and sustainable growth in our region. The session includes a Panel Discussion and Town Hall Discussion.
